Araelium Edit ★: New programming text editor with built-in IDE-style project management. Currently a free-to-test public beta; very crashy in the five minutes I spent kicking the tires, but definitely something to keep an eye on. Seems to be inspired more by Xcode than by BBEdit or TextMate. Most glaring hole: it doesn’t appear to be scriptable — AppleScript or shell — at all. It also seems as though the syntax coloring mechanism is far too simplistic to do a decent job parsing Perl. (Via John Siracusa via AIM.)
