Siri Rip-Offs in Android Market 

Nevermind the Siri rip-off, what makes this so very Android is all that junk in the status bar in the screenshots.

Tests Cast Doubt on FAA Restrictions on Kindle and iPad

The F.A.A. does allow some electronics during takeoff and landing. Portable voice recorders, hearing aids, heart pacemakers and electric shavers are permitted during all times of a flight.

I’ve sat next to and near some weird people on airplanes, but never anyone using an electric shaver during takeoff or landing.

The Android Surge 

Dan Lyons, writing for Newsweek 18 months ago:

Geeks can, and do, argue over the merits of these phones. But the fact that the two are close enough to be compared side by side is what should have Apple worried. And these are early days. My sense is that over the next 12 to 18 months, Android will surge past Apple the way Microsoft Windows surged past Apple in the 1990s.

Just give it another Friedman Unit or two, though. You’ll see.
