DAK and the Golden Age of Gadget Catalogs ★: Where to start with this glorious, decade-in-the-making post from Cabel Sasser? So many old gadgets that still look awesome today. So many others that now look utterly ridiculous. But I think my favorite part is Sasser’s appreciation for Drew Kaplan’s writing style. The catalogs looked utterly professional but the writing was so personal. It was like blogging, but in print.
