Thursday, 15 January 2004, at 11:44 p.m., after a mere 35 hours of labor, my wife Amy gave birth to our first child.

His name is Jonas Henry Gruber.

He weighed in at 9 pounds, 0.6 ounces.

The whole family is home, healthy, and happy. One-third of the family just took a dump in its pants.

Without an iota of hyperbole, I can honestly say I’ve never been happier.
