Larva Labs Estimates Android Market Payouts Total Only 2 Percent of App Store’s $1B 

John Watkinson from Larva Labs:

Overall we estimate that $6,000,000 has been paid out to developers for games, and $15,000,000 has been paid out on apps. That is a total of $21,000,000, almost 50× lower than the amount paid out to devs on iPhone.

(Larva Labs is one of the few Android developers I’ve seen that’s doing iPhone-caliber work on Android.)
