And so, as we could have predicted, Amazon wrecks Comixology.

What has it been, less than a month since Jeff Bezos bought the most promising tool for renewing the mass distribution of comics in the digital era? I’ll give the man this: he’s moved faster to undermine an existing technology for the benefit of his own company than General Motors did when it sabotaged Los Angeles’s public transit Red Line for the benefit of the bus fleet they wanted to sell the City of Angels. Job well done, Jeff.
Eddy Cue and Craig Federighi to Appear at Recode Conference in May ★: Interesting — previously, only Apple’s CEOs (Jobs, then Cook) have appeared at the Swisher/Mossberg conference. Late May is kind of crummy timing for this, though, coming just before, instead of after, Apple’s WWDC announcements.
Nomos Watch Manufacturing ★: Only a few minutes long, but I could watch this for hours. I find expert craftsmanship utterly fascinating.
Vox Is Publishing Some of Its Stories and the Interviews Behind Them in Parallel ★: Great idea, and benefits everyone: subjects, readers, and Vox. It’s hard to claim you are being quoted “out of context” when the context is a click away. Likewise, it’s harder for the interviewers to take things out of context.
